My Friends Pizza — Restaurant in Varenna

🤮👎🏻The fish and chips were forgettable, but the rudeness of an elderly woman working there (possibly the owner) was unforgettable.

🤮👎🏻After ordering, I politely asked for one extra napkin. Her face changed immediately. She snapped, “This is a fast food place, not a restaurant,” She reluctantly tore off a tiny scrap of paper and tossed it to me.

🤮👎🏻I left the place, but the story didn’t end there—she actually chased me out the door, yelling at me over the napkin.

1 star because 0 isn’t an option. We received the wrong order, and when we returned to politely ask for the correct one, the staff became rude and uncooperative—suddenly claiming not to understand English. Instead of resolving the issue by simply giving us the correct pizza, they escalated the situation. We only got a refund (thrown at us, quite literally) after mentioning we’d involve the authorities. Stay away from this place!!! Such rude people! I ordered a large piece of pizza and asked to cut it in 2 pieces for my 2 young boys, which they refused and said to go to a restaurant for that! I couldn’t believe it. Meanwhile my husband was putting cleaning gel in my boys hands to eat the pizza and Thai said to do it outside.
