We contacted Osteria Quatro Pass about booking our wedding dinner after our original restaurant had let us down a few weeks before the big day. Immediately Chiara and her team couldn't have been more helpful emailing back and forth even offering to make our wedding cake! As we were planning everything for our small wedding in Italy from home in Ireland it was daunting not knowing how things would turn out. The service, staff and food at Quatro pass was outstanding, our guests are still raving about the amazing food! They helped us create a beautiful menu, gave us an intimate private room, helped us select wine pairings, decorated the room and even designed personalised printed menus for the table. This place truely is second to none and we can't wait to return the next time we are in lake como. Thank you to all the staff who made our wedding night so special. Grazie Mille!

We could not get a table at a restaurant down the street so opted to come to this one as we got a reservation. Since it was highly rated on Google, we thought it would be comparable. It was not. We were served cold dry bread with no olive oil or balsamic as I think it custom with breads served. They gave us a starter amuse bouche of barley and vegetables which was very bland and had no flavour. We ordered the fish platter starter, risotto for 2 and tiramisu. The white wine pairing suggested was good and overall ambience is nice, however the food is average at best so therefore overpriced for what it was. This is definitely a tourist trap as they try to mimic a Michelin style restaurant without the good food. I was looking for something authentic and delicious - this was not it.

An Authentic Italian restaurant located in a typical narrow street. You need to climb a few steps to get to this restaurant. Location is super fascinating to sit outside in those narrowed streets. Unique experience. Kind service, no need to book a table. The table was immediately prepared for us.We had only 2 Main courses a veal and pasta and grill vegetables pasta was good but the veal was a bit tasteless and lemon sauce was overwhelming that’s why we give 4stars. Piece of advise: explain to the tourists what is the extra charge (coperto)on the table and tell them that staff is not getting that money - it is kind of tax in restaurants they charge if I know it right !? You might end up with more tips at the end of the day. It was a great experience in all! Thank you!

This place is delightful. So nice from the outside, and so cozy and intimate on the inside. Despite the closeness of the tables and the intimate feel, it didn't feel too crowded, it's actually a really nice place to be, in a group or as a couple. All the staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and more than happy to help with the menu and any dietary requirements. We had the mixed fish starter, lamb ragout pasta, and the veal cheek - all of which were standout delicious. My only complaint would be we were not permitted to tip using our credit card, I know this is not uncommon in Italy, but for customers wanting to show their appreciation to the staff it's sometimes frustrating when you only have a couple of Euros cash!

With tables hard to come by at the best places in town this place was still able to take last minute reservations (and drop-inns). The menu was pretty traditional / standard, with emphasis on local produce from the lake. Good presentation with well balanced tastes, but nothing we had (except the risotto) stood out as excellent. Portions were generally very (too) large! So we ended up having to share our secondi to make it through... our primi (the risotto) was large enough as a main, or to share as a primi. Fairly good selection of wines, including local ones. All in all a reliable and well kept place with friendly friendly staff. 3.5 stars out of 5, considering the price range.

I carpioni ottimi.
