Do NOT go here. Il Gestore in Varese had the worst mannerisms and attitude I have come across in the hospitality industry. My experience was this: My fiancé (from Italy) and I (US) decided to go to Il Gestore to have lunch in hopes of later organizing a Welcome dinner there for our wedding party guests in the following year. We walked in and asked if they were open for lunch. They said “Yes.” No one was there besides 1 staff member and the owner. We then asked to look at their lunch menu and the staff member handed it to us. We looked at it for a minute and the owner walked over to us and said that they were completely booked for lunch... and for dinner. It was dark and empty inside and obsolete outside. Why were we told they were open and handed the menu and later given a false excuse and turned away? Additionally, when asked if we could sit outside for a coffee they told us that they are not a bar. We were treated like 2nd/3rd class citizens. I can only imagine how they must treat other people and/or the ethics of their food. It’s their loss. I am glad I saved the thousands I was going to spend their for the wedding dinner. I will be taking my business elsewhere. We had a very nice lunch few blocks...

Every dish was amazing and prices were accordingly expensive but worth the money and effort. We will definitely...
