At first I assumed it would be typical European style Japanese restaurant. But I was glad to be wrong by having ramen served izakaya style with side dishes. The flavors were near true to how miso based broth ramen would be. Vegetables were crunchy as us Asians would love them. From good Asian food I get a warm tingling feeling running through my body, Koenji was just at the tip of giving me that warm fuzzy feeling. They had one of the best ramen I've had in Italy. Their menu changes depending on season, availability, and their Tokyo chefs choice. If I wasn't busy trying to go to each Asian restaurant to make my own personal list, I would eat here for my whole trip to Venice. I will definitely come back to Kenya when I visit Venice again.

My only wish would be true Japanese flavor, as delicate as Japanese flavors are, europeans are too sensitiv to some...

Popped in as my kids wanted ramen during our Italy visit (!). We are glad we came! Service was excellent, reminiscent of what one would find in Japan. Food was top notch - the karaage was so tasty and the mains were excellent, particularly the roast beef special.

I will say, just because I noted this negatively for another restaurant recently, that this restaurant also changes a cover fee, which wasn’t readily apparent. 3€\pp, for which they provide some quality edamame for the table. Regardless, i would absolutely come back!

Recommend strongly booking in advance. We were lucky to get a walk-in table, but saw multiple parties turned away after us. They do have a bar for which they hold solely for walk-ins, but that filled up to. This is a popular place, and for...

Some dishes were really interesting and tasty: we tried some Venetian classics (baccalà mantecato and bigołi is salsa) prepared with a Japanese spin as well as some Japanese dishes with a Venetian spin (like the mix starters). The restaurant is cute and well decorated. The only big shame is the service: the waitresses are cute and helpful (eg changed partially the starters as one of us is pregnant) but it took literally 60 minutes to get a fried chicken starter, while another table with people coming after us got it before us.. and half of our table got their order already. The dessert took 20 min. Then we ordered a bottle of water.. and they forgot to bring it. Really messy, again a shame as the place has a lot...
