This place was open and right next to my hostel so that's why I chose it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a nice romantic spot to sit and eat and admire you're surrounding this is not the place for you. However, if you want a great, hip, and east atmosphere this place is great! The decor and music playing is very youthful and fun to be in. Now for the food:
I started with mozzarella balls from the pizza menu. These were very good! I could have only ate these (multiple places) and been perfectly fine, but only because I'm a lover of cheese and have extensive knowledge of fried treats (Thank you America). I would recommend these.
My actual meal was pizza. I had the Spinach and Parmesan pizza. It comes with a base of tomato sauce and mozzarella. This pizza was very good but I don't dare say it's the best I've had in my three weeks in Italy - the Florence central market still has my heart and stomach sold. The price was close to 9€ but I do think it was worth it. It is a very large pizza and could feed probably two... unless you're me - a 5'1" 110lbs American girl who hasn't eaten since breakfast. All in all the pizza was a 8/10.
Next (yes I was still able to stuff food into my mouth) I had a chocolate cake desert. It was 5€ and EXTREMELY worth it! The cake was so small but extremely rich and went perfectly with the hot chocolate they put on top of it. The whipped cream on the side really made it all come together as well. I had this with an Americano coffee and the waiter brought me a little shot of a tart tasting milkshake textured -what he called- ice cream.
All in all this place was very good and less than 30€ for pizza, two giant bottles of water, an appetizer, desert, and coffee. I would certainly recommend.

So we said fine, found a table ourselves, that guy didn't sound interested in assisting whatsoever. So we sat and about 5 mins later my partner went back to our room to get something and I was asked about drinks so I ordered 2 aperol spritz'. My partner came back so we ordered food and then we waited a further 15-20 mins during which 4 other tables got their drinks/snacks before us but after which I got my meal! A dinner without drinks first in Italy? So i asked one waiter where our drinks were but the girl who brought our food heard and tried to resolve it. Cue a further 5-10 mins waiting for my partners meal to arrive and then our drinks.
It was completely empty inside (as it was only outside seating) and there were barely any people sat outside but there were 4 waiters and a manager working outside.
When my partner complained at payment and said we werent paying service charge due to being ignored and made to wait after being spoken to rudely by some staff, the manager said he doesnt add service charge then started making excuses then walked off randomly without warning. We could have ran away but and saved our money but we aren't bad people so didnt, we waited for him to come back when he had our receipt to show us. On the receipt was the service charge! My partner said to remove it and the manager said everyone pays it - the whole point is we aren't going to! The manager started being loud and argumentative so we just paid all of it to get rid and leave.
Not to say the food was nice (smallest gnocchi portion in the world though, the side of spinach was bigger than that!) But aside from that it is a poorly run place...
Read moreWe picked this restaurant because it has lovely views over the water and they offered pizzas and pasta options - we thought that Italians cooking Italian can’t go wrong but we really wish we looked on Tripadvisor first :(
I ordered tagliatelle bolognese and a pizza and my wife ordered a pizza. Service was fine and pretty quick but we weren’t in any rush as just wanted to enjoy our last night in Venice
The pizzas were both ok but far from standards of other pizzerias in the area. They were also soggy in the middle but nothing scary. Then the tagliatelle bolognese came out, it had a really weird taste - nothing tasty like other restaurants make and I noticed it was microwaved straightaway due to it being red hot on the outside and cold in the middle. I thought it’s still edible though and mixed it together to make it warm but I really wish I had sent it back then… I’ll never make that mistake again
Roughly 5 hours after eating I felt the need to be sick in intervals of roughly 30 minutes between them. It was waking me up and causing havoc, made worse even still when my body decided to be sick out the other end too, was pretty horrific to be fair.
This carried on through the night and slowly stopped nearer check out time at the hotel. I’ve been left to feel weak, and my body is a wreck after this experience with the restaurant.
My wife hasn’t experienced any of these symptoms and is perfectly fine - the only thing she didn’t eat was the bolognese which is why we are honing in on that being the reason for this review
Would advise everyone to stay well away here. This is totally unacceptable and had we had more days in Venice I would be taking this up directly with the owners of the restaurant. Please...
