Perfect spot to enjoy great drinks - spritzes, cocktails and craft beer - delicious bites, and a lively atmosphere. This wine bar/pub is one of our favorite places during our 2 week trip to Italy. The vibe is incredibly welcoming and fun, with a perfect mix of locals/regulars and tourists who all come together to enjoy the relaxed yet buzzing environment. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the friendly staff, who set the tone for a great afternoon/evening. We sat there for several hours on our first visit!
The cicchetti were great and the highlight of our visit (yes, we went back twice!) was the fresh porchetta they were carving on our first night. It was absolutely incredible and melted in your mouth. I’m not sure if this was a regular thing because we didn’t see it on the 2nd evening. Without a doubt, it was one of my favorite bites during my entire 2-week trip to Italy.
This place gets lively around 5 PM, with small tables filling up quickly, but it’s not a problem since many people happily stand inside or by the canal. The service was top-notch, with the staff’s friendly attitude and attention to detail making the experience even more enjoyable. If I lived in Venice, this would definitely be my go-to spot, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. The prices are also...

We went for wine and cicchetti before dinner. Wine list is thoughtful and beyond affordable. $5 dollar glasses that you know were selected with care. The bartender was incredibly helpful she helped me pick out the perfect glass. I highly recommend the mozzarella pizzaiola. It’s fried cheese stuffed with tomato confit that isn’t greasy at all. As an American who loves cheese sticks I was blown away. Our other cicchetti selections were also fresh and delicious. Wish we could have snagged a table by the canal but they were all occupied. We hung out at the little bar by the window and watched people hang out or walk by. We tried going back our second night in Venice but they were closed, hopefully for vacation because the Wine Goddesses of Osteria Ai Pugni deserve it....
Read moreAmazing place!! Great people here for sure. Great food, good, simple dishes made with love, I could taste it! Good selection of drinks, saw they enjoy everyone unless of course you're rude. In that case no one likes you and we are all better if you just went to a really expensive tourist trap. The deserts are great too. It's not a huge place, but I mean you are in a city which floats on water, stop acting like a damn tourist and remember the manners your mother taught you. Again great place had multiple great experiences. Friendly, open, family like atmosphere. Thank you...
