Osteria Vecia Posta — Restaurant in Venice

This restaurant has a wonderful relaxed atmosphere, almost as if you're eating at friends. The service by the two waiters was exceptional, they are very quick and even though the restaurant was full they had time to chat with the three of us and advise us what to eat. We had an antipasto of mixed fresh fish platter which would have sufficed on its own for lunch! We were recommended to have the squid with 'ink' spaghetti, wonderful! No room for a main course but enough for a sweet, tiramisu. Washed down with two bottles of white wine we paid 180€ in three. 3 starters, 3 pasta dishes, 1 main course, 2 sweets and 2 bottles of white wine. Home made liqueur was free. I was looking for a restaurant for some seafood and this wasn’t too far from me. I came to the place and it was a very nice atmosphere with very friendly staff. The menu had a wide variety of seafood items, and it was very reasonable prices. I ordered a few things starting with the mussels and clams in white wine which was absolutely amazing. The service was top notch, the food was very tasty and very affordable. The chef was also super friendly and kept checking on me to see how I liked the food. I enjoyed the food so much I visited the restaurant a few times❤️. I highly recommend...

Ero l'ultimo giorno in Italia con mio padre e cercavamo qualcosa di tipico da mangiare per finire in bellezza, camminammo fino a quando questa bella osteria ci apparve davanti, appena entrati eravamo entusiasti ma man mano l'eccitamento stava calando, l'accoglienza fredda quasi come davamo fastidio, appena seduti, sul mio tovagliolo c'era una zanzara schiacciata con il tovagliolo e un'altra di fianco, glielo fatto notare al cameriere, non si è degnato nemmeno di una scusa, anzi ho dovuto dire scusa io a lui che mi sono fatto cambiare il tovagliolo,(ci sono posti che ti offrono la cena per una cosa del genere e te lo dice uno del settore che ha girato e provato parecchio) eravamo assetati per aver camminato sotto il sole e anche se c'erano solo 3 tavoli e 3 camerieri sembravano più interessati a parlare tra di loro che venire a chiedere se volevamo dell'acqua, dopo che finirono la loro conversazione si avvicinarono finalmente al tavolo, servizio freddo e anche il cibo non era nulla di che, lo scoglio sembra essere fatto solo parzialmente con pesce fresco ed era leggermente salato, glielo avrei anche detto al cameriere se si fosse anche un po interessato, il fritto misto era buonissimo complimenti, la ciliegina sulla torta è stato il caffè, non solo uno dei peggiori caffè mai bevuti ma l'hanno fatto pagare anche 4euro a caffè, si 8euro per 2 caffè fatti male, nemmeno fossimo in piazza San Marco e sopra tutto ciò abbiamo dovuto pagare non solo un conto salato ma anche il 10% di servizio che è stato quasi inesistente, ribadisco che sono del settore e la mancia la lascio sempre ma questa volta non solo non era meritata ma è stata...
