My experience at Ristorante Isola D'Oro on Lido, Venice, was regrettably disappointing. The service was abysmal, as it took well over an hour to grab the attention of a waiter, leaving us feeling neglected and frustrated throughout the meal. Moreover, the uncomfortable furniture added to the discomfort of the dining experience, making it hard to fully enjoy the meal.
Speaking of the food, it did not live up to expectations either. The dishes lacked the flavors and finesse one would hope for in an Italian restaurant. The underwhelming culinary offerings were a stark contrast to the vibrant cuisine usually associated with Venice.
On a positive note, the restaurant does offer a fairly good view of the lagoon, which somewhat salvaged the experience. However, the interior decoration was peculiar, creating an odd and out-of-place atmosphere.
Perhaps the root of the problem lies in the staffing. The restaurant appeared to be understaffed for its size, leading to delays and lackluster service.
Regrettably, I cannot recommend Ristorante Isola D'Oro based on my visit. With subpar service, uncomfortable furniture, mediocre food, and an unusual ambiance, it left much to be desired and failed to deliver an enjoyable...
Read moreIf I could vote lower I would..... this place is right on the boat ferry terminus at Lido. Location is ace! But that's all that's going for it. The food was absolutely shocking, pizza was greasy and bland, made with cheap cheese, my girlfriend ordered gnocchi gorganzola the sauce was congealed.. it was pure unadulterated nightmare fuel..... tasted horrific! After trying to calmly discuss our disatisfation, i said to the owner that i was not willing to pay for the food, and asked it be taken away and he condescendingly challenged my understanding of cheese.....he was so rude, i mean WTAF!.......don't normally leave bad reviews but the owner was ignorant as hell. His food was awful! AVOID...
Read moreEsta comida estuvo deliciosa!! This was my first dish in Italy. Our flight landed around 9:30pm and with the water taxi taking about an hour to get to Lido, I was concerned that nothing would be open for dinner. Thank God for Isola d’Oro. We order the Spaghetti Vongole Veraci and the Pizza sella Casa. I loved the pasta dish with clams! The pizza was so good! My favorite was the pepperoni slice for sure! The restaurant also had this spicy EVO which we used for dipping on the side (ya saben que a los Mexicanos nos gusta el Chile). And, of course, a bottle of Prosecco to christen our landing in...
