Between a furniture store and a McDonalds, lives this gem of a restaurant that we stumbled across while waiting for our room to be ready at a nearby hotel.
I have no words, and this is rare for me, to describe how good the pizza is. Served with a smile by the very friendly and helpful staff, this was poetry in my mouth. Look at the pictures, it tastes even better. My wife agrees and we don't always agree on food.
We went right when the place opened at 12, on a Thursday in October. There was nobody else there which I think is a crime.
Each of us had a pizza, both were outstanding, and a piece of pie and espresso afterwards. They capped it off with limoncello on the house. Everything was just exquisite.
Our waitress said that this is a house that has stood since the 1800s and they had to fight to preserve it within the surrounding commercial district. It's a true oasis, isolating you from the surrounding suburbia.

The owner recommended a red wine to pair with the pizzas, and the recommendation was spot-on. After finishing our dinner, we asked if there might be a dessert we could take back to our hotel with us, and somehow, five minutes later, we were eating the house specialty fritelle - fried-dough doughnut holes roled in sugar. On their own they were excellent, paired with the wine? Spectacular. This doesn’t even account for the staff who seemed to genuinely enjoy what they were doing. It really started off our long weekend on...

After spending a day in Venice and feeling a bit disappointed with the food we had, we decided to try this pizza place that had a 5-star review on Google Maps.
After trying two pizzas, we now understand why it has such a high rating. The pizza was so good! The spicy one (dolce e piccante) was real spicy (asian approves). The owners were also very kind and always smiling. They even played really good music, which made the place feel nice and welcoming.
At the end of our dinner, the owner kindly gave us a limoncello on...
