Pizzeria Vesuvio is present in Verona since 1964 and is located in the charming Regaste San Zeno embankment area, just ~7 min pleasant walking along the Adige river from the Medieval “Castelvecchio” Scaligeri Castle. I’d recommend it mostly for the beautiful outdoor seating with views over the castle and benefiting from the river breeze during warm summer nights. Rustic indoor furniture and family vibe. Traditional pizza menu with limited choice and not Neapolitan dough/DOP tomatoes for those of you looking for a special pizza experience. This little pizzeria was recommended by the owner of the place we stayed in. He (a local from Verona) said it's the best pizzeria in Verona, so we gave it a shot.

The pizza is extremely tasty and the combinations as simple but delicious. We took it "to go", it was ready extremely fast. Oh, it's cheap: they have more than 20 types of pizzas and 90% of them are less than 10 euro.

The place seems like a family-run business: a quite old couple was handling the behind the counter things. They were friendly and reacted nicely to my not so good Italian. The place seemed cosy and warm.

We found this place on Google as „low price & cool” so we go there ;place which is in the downtown but not on the main streets. We were the only clients but it’s totally ok - we have the beginning of December and it’s totally off season :) We wait...5-7 minutes? For pizzas.
