Pizzeria X Giugno — Restaurant in Vicenza

Wonderful place! I walked to Villa Valmarana this morning and on my way back into Vicenza I saw people going inside this restaurant. As a solitary tourist I am not always comfortable in a crowd but other people were eating by themselves. I was seated near a table of 7 middle-aged men having the most polite, reasoned, and professorial conversation; I wish my skills in Italian were better so I could have joined them! The menu has soups, pasta, meats, vegetables, and about a dozen pizza choices; I opted for pizza with radicchio e salsiccia (sausage). Fantastic! Thin crust, plus there's a jar of high-quality olive oil on every table. The chef himself brought the pizza to me, directly from the wood-fired oven. Senz'altro positiva 👍🏻 la nostra recente esperienza presso la Pizzeria X Giugno, bel locale del centro di Vicenza che abbiamo scelto per la pausa pranzo. Giunti in loco sulle 13.30 🕜 (previa prenotazione 📞) direttamente dal Museo del Risorgimento e della Resistenza, siamo stati cordialmente accolti dal titolare 🧑🏻‍🦳 che ci ha subito fatti accomodare al nostro tavolo in fondo alla sala. In breve siamo passati all'ordinazione optando quasi tutti per la pizza 🍕, oltre ad un'insalatona 🥗 e una porzione di patate fritte. Da bere, acqua 💧, birra 🍺, vino 🥂 e una Coca media con limone 🍋. Sicuramente buona 😋 la mia "Nick" con mozzarella, melanzane 🍆 fritte, pomodorini 🍅, salamino piccante e pancetta arrotolata ma, comunque, anche i commensali mi sono parsi soddisfatti. Per concludere, naturalmente i caffè ☕️ (di cui tre lunghi) a fine pasto. Poco prima delle 15.00 🕒 ci siamo poi avviati verso il bancone per saldare i conti che, peraltro, a richiesta vengono gestiti anche separatamente (a proposito, nella media il rapporto qualità/prezzo). Valido il servizio benché i membri dello staff, ad eccezione del gentile titolare 🧑🏻‍🦳, mi siano sembrati un po' "austeri", soprattutto il ragazzo 🧑🏻 in cassa. Bagni 🚾 puliti e in ordine 🚽🧻🧴 anche se una rinfrescata generale non guasterebbe. Gradevole l'arredamento, improntato ad uno stile semplice e sobrio; belli i grandi quadri fotografici che ritraggono le principali attrazioni turistiche del centro di Vicenza come la Basilica Palladiana, il Santuario di Monte Berico e Villa Almerico Capra. Purtroppo non è presente alcuna area parcheggio 🅿️. Ci siamo trovati bene quindi mi sento di CONSIGLIARLO 👍🏻.

Always looking for another good pizza place. Most places were closed and we stopped by here and didn’t regret it. I decided to try a little bit of everything and finished it all, which usually doesn’t happen. The mussels were fresh and very tasty, great whit wine broth as well. The carbonara was good, pasta al denté as expected. We finished the main with with a pizza just didn’t catch a picture. Finally we had to try a desert and again pleasantly surprised.
