I came alone outside of rush hour so half of tables were free and there were three waiters and one manager helping out. The staff was from beginning cold and I had feeling I’m bothering them with my solo presence. I ordered starter and main course with drink. Instead of swordfish carpaccio I got tuna carpaccio, waiter didn’t even apologise when I asked what fish is that. Then I asked if I can get lemon as the carpaccio should’ve had lemony sauce. Waiter brought me olive oil. After long wait and no attention I asked the manager who finally brought me lemon. When I wanted to pay I needed to remind them several times including change back. There were tables of two and more people who got waited faster and with better attitude. The restaurants presents itself with vibes of finer dining. But their approach to customers is bad and spoiled my experience. Food isn’t worth mentioning either. Too little fun for too much money. Definitely better deals around. One star is for view and one star is for not getting sick from food. So....

Ho cenato in questo ristorante un sabato sera durante il periodo delle vacanze estive.
L'ho scelto perché volevo mangiare in un ristorante veramente tipico e non in uno pieno di turisti.
In questo il ristorante Piazzetta Petrone è perfetto, grazie alla sua posizione un po'decentrata e nascosta tra gli stupendi vicoli della cittadina.
Il locale si trova in cima ad una sorta di grande terrazza panoramica dalla quale si può ammirare tutta la costa, soprattutto nelle ore del pranzo e al tramonto.
I tavoli sono tutti all'aperto, protetti da dei tendoni che però non rovinano l'atmosfera caratteristica del posto.
Il personale è molto gentile e professionale, disponibile ad ascoltare qualsiasi richiesta, anche in un giorno in cui il locale era pieno ed abbiamo dovuto aspettare pochi minuti per sederci.
Il menù è abbastanza ben strutturato: i primi piatti e i secondi sono abbastanza, invece non molte le pizze e alcune un po'costose (frutti di mare 12,50 €). Vi sono anche alcuni piatti tipici scritti in dialetto pugliese.
Ho ordinato due pizze (una tonno e cipolle e una garcanica), strascinati con gamberi e provola filante e un contorno.
Le pizze erano abbastanza buone, né troppo spesse, né troppo sottili.
Davvero ottimi anche gli strascinati: alla fine il sughetto fatto dai gamberi esortava a fare la scarpetta con il pane!
Anche il contorno era abbastanza buono, ma forse mi aspettavo qualcosa di più. Si trattava di una sorta di lasagnetta di patate cotte al forno, tagliate a fette e condite con una granella di pane e pomodoro.
La serata si è conclusa sorseggiando un caffè con lo sguardo rivolto verso il mare e un conto equilibrato e non troppo elevato portato direttamente al tavolo...

It is located in the old town of Vieste.The service was superb, and the food was fantastic, and the view was incredible! Apulian cuisine is the quintessential expression of Mediterranean culture, and I can honestly say that this was the most fresh and perfectly cooked octopus I've had in a long time! 👏 We also tried the seafood ravioli, delicioso!! 👨🍳
