Only one star as I can't put none. The restaurant is cute, well located in Vieste and the food was correct. We ordered white wine and the waiter came with red. Luckily I noticed before he opened thebottle. Then we had a starter (tuna tartar with straciatella) which was very good and well served. The main was the sea bass with shrimp and potatoes. There was sea bass but no potatoes and only one shrimp, very disappointed but okay(cf. Picture). I ask for a side : grilled eggplant, zucchini and red peppers and it came with no peppers, only 4 little slices of zucchini et 5 thin slices of eggplant. I ask where the red pepper is to the waiter and he goes to the kitchen to check. He comes back telling me they don't have any left, and that they gave me more zucchinis. Very funny considering the 4 small pieces on the plate, I said I didn't want the plate without the red peppers. The manager tells me its okay it is off the bill. When we ask for the bill in the end the plate is still counted so we ask the manager why ? The owner came and started to yell at us in front of everyone in the middle of the restaurant saying we ate so we pay. It tell him I wanted to return the dish in the first place but he doesn't want to listen. I had to stand firm and negotiate for a while for him to get it. There are many restaurants near by, don't go to this one you'll only be disappointed by the food and having a...

We stumbled upon Enoteca Vesta while navigating the more touristy parts of the city — and what an absolute find it turned out to be. The food here is exceptional, so much so that we went back a second time during our short stay. Every dish was beautifully prepared, packed with flavor, and clearly made with care.
The service was warm and attentive without being overbearing. Despite being quite busy both times we visited, the staff handled everything with grace and kindness. That said, it’s clear they could use an extra pair of hands — the team works hard and absolutely deserves the support to keep delivering at this level.
If you’re looking for an authentic, high-quality meal away from the typical tourist traps, do yourself a favor and book a table here. Enoteca Vesta is the kind of place that makes you want to linger over dinner and return the very next night — just...
Read moreWe ate at Enoteca Vesta this evening. The setting looked great, but the service was not.
On ordering my food I explained I have an intolerance to lactose/dairy. I was assured the starter for 2 that I was sharing with my husband was fine for me; however, when I tasted it, it was cheesy. It had parmesan in the recipe. I was offered an off-menu prosciutto and melon as alternative, which was nice enough.
My main was delicious - red mullet and fennel. My husband's sea bass and prawn with creamed potato was not cooked through, so was mostly inedible.
We were charged for my cheesy starter in the total, as apparently I did not clarify clearly that cheese is included in dairy produce - despite me listing milk, butter, and cream products during my explanation. The prosciutto and melon dish wasn't cheap either!
We weren't looking for a free meal, but an apology would have been greatly received.
We are...
