Just been there. Tourist trap of such a magnitude that i chose to warn others as soon as possible, in order to minimize disappointments. Classic example of a decent kitchen slaving away and a managenent and front office focused on "rotate and rip 'm fast, and wash-rinse-repeat as long as luck lasts". Seafood zuppa as antipasta was truly great. Good mussels (i'm Dutch, i recognize seafood quality), succulent calamari as tender as chicken, shrimps a bit small but good. The front office looked like construction workers with a sideline. Poorly dressed, matching manners and not much notion of the pace of human digestion and the art to grant guests time between courses, to stimulate stomach room for a dessert, a coffee and a liqueur. The dork in question probably ordered my antipasta and the main gnocchi dish at the same time. I hadn't finished my first course and they were already pressing with "finito?", probably because the gnocchi were getting cold. They were indeed lukewarm and spongy when served, which ruined an otherwise excellent dish. Praise to the chefs, they did great! The white wine was a Falanghina, a dry and tasty local product from Campania, and i ordered a whole bottle. But the bread was leathery, either left exposed for too long to the outside air, or yesterday's bread. So that was it for me. I didn't finish the cold gnocchi and again there was the quick "finished?". So i skipped dessert and coffee, i asked for the bill and i added a customary tip. They let me go without saying much. Avoid this joint like the plague! And chefs, don't waste your talent here!!! Photos attached, the food was certainly...
Read moreWent for an evening meal and it was a complete tourist trap with some of the rudest staff, should avoid at all costs.
Firstly when we arrived there was only one table and for some strange reason we were seated next to them when the entire restaurant was available.
Once seated we were brought out some complimentary bread which was so stale it was barely edible and was most likely from the one previous days where they had been left.
The carbonara was mediocre the sauce and the pancetta was rather nice but the spaghetti was very firm undercooked made it rather hard to enjoy it as a whole compared to just the sauce.
Once I finally asked for the bill a completely new waiter brought the bill to me and the receipt was all handwritten and very hard to understand and he explained rather aggressively what all the costs were and if I was okay with it.
And finally when I stood up to leave I had barely stood up and the waiter had swiped the chair to set the table up for the next guest.
Avoid, walk another 5 minutes to find a...
Read moreI stoped to ate here because I liked the position of the restaurant. I will not say very much about the food, just that it was ok (not really good). Other think I didn’t liked at all .. while we where eating, the owner of the restaurant made a really sad scene, in front of the customers, he yelled at one of the employee, told him things, took a glass from the table and wanted to throw at him and, in the the end, he told him he fired starting from tomorow. I am not interested about the reasions why he reacted like this but I am not supporting this type of atitude, ESPECIALLY in front of the clients.. I didn t feel good in that night after that scene.. so I don t recommend a restaurant where the employees are...
