Ristorante Pascalo' — Restaurant in Vietri sul Mare

One of the worst experiences we had. First of all prawns turns out to be crawfish/langoustine which was confusing. Sword fish was chewy, grilled small fish was full of fish bones and it was not possible to eat. Grilled vegetables were cold and not grilled at all soaked with oil. French fries were from package or tasked like the ones from the store. We left around half of our food and waiters asked if we enjoyed it. We honestly said no and they just said ok and left us without any comment or anything. At the end we got our bill with water added we haven’t take. Ok mistakes happen but no “sorry” or anything was said. Later on, the waiter came with proper bill and I shared with waiter that food was bad and he asked me where we’re from so I told him and he just started gesticulate and showed me to pay and waved to me. He also said that this is number 1 restaurant in Vietri and that’s his restaurant and left us. I’m feeling so bad because I hoped that it will be one of the best dinners during my stay in Vietri sul mare but it turns out to be the worst one. Gli dó giusto due stelle per i ragazzi del servizio che sono stati gentilissimi così come la signora che prendeva le ordinazioni. Cibo buono ma frutti di mare cotti male e stopposi e dolce secondo me non fatto in casa.

I primi non male come sapore.

Portate arrivate sfasate e lontane tra esse.

Avrei messo a stento una stella se avessi dovuto giudicare quel cafone del proprietario che etichetto così solo per decenza perché per come tratta i dipendenti in pubblico andrebbe veramente preso a schiaffi, praticamente li mortifica e li fa lavorare con una tensione che si può facilmente palpare. Richiami fuori luogo e senza nessun motivo, se non avessi avuto con me un bimbo che aveva fame me ne sarei andato subito. Non credo ci torneremo.

“In risposta alla sua risposta” le confermo che lei è non solo scostumato e cafone nonchè un cattivo gestore di sala ma anche un pessimo veggente visto che della mia posizione lavorativa non sa nulla e spara fandonie senza senso, se mettesse lo stesso impegno con cui sbraita al ristorante davanti a tutti o la stessa enfasi con cui risponde alle recensioni sarebbe sul serio uno dei migliori. Sono stato addirittura cortese nella recensione omettendo di dire che ho mangiato tra i moscerini senza fargliene una colpa e che le posate vengono sbattute sul banco dove fate i conteggi dove ci sono bancomat, penne, fogli per poi essere portate a tavola ai clienti così senza nemmeno rendersi conto che possano essersi sporcate. Se uno critica con giusta ragione bisognerebbe portare a casa, scusarsi, stare zitti e cercare di migliorare. La discussione per me finisce qui perché lei è completamente esaurito, scorbutico e villano.

Io non ho fatto nessun complimento a tavola ne ho offeso nessuno e poi quello che è il peggior tassello per il suo ristorante è lei. Nessuno deve essere lo zerbino di nessuno ma di fronte alle evidenze bisognerebbe tacere e lei non perde occasione di farlo. Scostumato, presuntuoso e anche bugiardo. A very pleasant family owned restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. We had a new waitress, who was so sweet and helpful.

Food was great local cuisine - how a simple ail-olio pasta can taste so good?! Also had the catch of the day fish, which does always come at a price, but there’s a reason for that, it was prepared, and deboned, so delicious and creamy.

We opted for a Salerno white wine, again recommended, which was a superb choice.

Also tried their family made Limoncello, and being a Whisky fan myself, the strength didn’t put me off, and you could taste the lemon zest and lemon so clearly. Just great!

Negatives? Nothing...
