Rosa dei Venti — Restaurant in Vietri sul Mare

I do not write reviews in general but i feel compelled to do so today. We arrived at the restaurant as first and only clients. The bar guy came to our table to bring water and before we could order anything else , it took an employee 25 minutes to come back to the table as one of the staff was having a birthday cake moment and they took all the time in the world to have a party. When the food came (after another 20 minutes), they only brought my wife’s plate and forgot mine... Another 20 minutes before the employee came back so as i asked where is my food, he looked confused, went inside and it took another 40 minutes for my half cooked, terribly made pasta to arrive. Plate dumped at the table, no apologies were given for this rudeness. We left and the couple behind us was still waiting as well, for 40 or more minutes fiddling with their Spritz... Terrible service, worst food. If i could give zero stars, that is all...

Esperienza pessima. Cena sul terrazzo con cocktail di moscerini addosso, sui bicchieri, sui tovaglioli, ovunque. Moscerini e insetti vari ci sono abitualmente nelle calde serate estive, per cui i locali con tavoli all'aperto devono attrezzarsi per evitare ai clienti di essere assaliti. Dopo aver mangiato l'antipasto armati di tovaglioli e ogni altra cosa che potesse difenderci dall'assalto dei moscerini ci siamo trasferiti all'interno. Dalla padella alla brace, nel senso letterale del termine. Caldo asfissiante, climatizzatori spenti perchè, a detta del personale, non funzionanti(entrambi...), porta scorrevole impossibile da aprire perchè incastrata nonostante gli sforzi di un addetto. Dopo aver mangiato il primo piatto usciamo fuori in cerca di un pò di brezza, all'interno si suda in modo indecente. Decidiamo di rinunciare alla frittura che avevamo ordinato, paghiamo e ce ne andiamo. Il tizio alla cassa che sembra essere il titolare del locale non s'interessa minimamente del fatto che due clienti abbandonino il locale rinunciando a consumare l'ultima ordinazione. Gestione del locale davvero orribile, a volte basta una parola gentile per stabilire una connessione col cliente... Parliamo del cibo? Antipasto fatto di assaggini, alcuni dei quali imbarazzanti. Mai visto un salmone marinato tagliato in modo così rozzo e grossolano da alterarne anche il sapore. Zuppetta di ceci con tracce di seppia veramente oscena. "Tagliata" di seppia con patate lesse da mensa ospedaliera. Salvabili solo il polipetto affogato e il crocchè(ma che c'entra in un antipasto di mare?) primi piatti: tagliolini allo sfusato amalfitano, gambero rosso di mazara e caciocavallo podolico. Praticamente una pasta al formaggio. Lo sfusato inesistente, il gambero in piccolissime dosi, insapore e scotto. meglio decisamente, ma ci voleva poco, l'altro primo, paccheri con ricciola, anche se l'abbondanza eccessiva di capperi e le olive amare coprivano il sapore della ricciola. Sulla frittura non posso esprimermi perchè, fortunatamente, siamo scappati via prima di mangiarla. Ristorante da evitare...

We had a stop there for lunch on a really nice and sunny day. They have a big place to sit people outside, as well as having tables inside. There are umbrellas as well to protect from the sun. The view is absolutely gorgeous as you sit next to the sea. The service was quite slow when they had to clean the table before ours and also when they gave us some menus and took the order (but that's comprehensible because they were just two waiters and there were quite a few people). My family and I had pasta, scialatielli with seafood for me, and my parents mezzemaniche with eggplant and swordfish. Really recommend them. We also had dessert, semifreddo with...
