Il Castello di Bacco — Restaurant in Zafferana Etnea

Happened upon this place after arriving to Zafferena around 1230 on a Sunday. Service was friendly and efficient. We ordered the caprese, two salads, the pasta alla Norma and the ravioli in pistacchio cream sauce. I did not enjoy my ceasar salad very much (admittedly I know it’s not a Sicilian specialty, but the dressing was just mayonnaise). The food was good, not gonna lie. But, please check your prices when you order and again when your bills arrive at the end. If they see that you're a tourist, they will boost their prices on the bill. Happened to us, two items went from 8 to 12 euros. When we told them, they told that was an old print of the menu (a lie, because Italy government is very strict and they will do anything to avoid that). Pretty sad for a not that touristy little city who should respect the tourists...

Se il locale è strapieno e non arrivate a servire le persone, la miglior cosa sarebbe capire i propri limiti e non continuare a prendere gente se non si può offrire un buon servizio.. birra calda, acqua temperatura ambiente, bicchieri caldi, pasta alla norma che nemmeno al mio peggior nemico farei assaggiare. ho chiesto se era possibile avere la tagliata con due piccoli contorni di verdure grigliate e patate al forno e mi hanno portato due porzioni intere di contorni, che erano solo per me, dove le verdure grigliate sembrano letteralmente prese e buttate nel piatto e le patate al forno, forse non fresche ma congelate, immangiabili.. ho lasciato tutto. Pessimo. Anche i camerieri si vergognavano a servirci consapevoli del servizio pessimo che stavano offrendo. Io ho pagato tutto ed anche pagato caro per quello che in fondo non ho mangiato. Non ci tornerò mai più e non lo consiglierò sicuramente a nessuno. Per risposta al proprietario: dovrebbe accettare i suoi sbagli. Servono a crescere. So cosa recensisco, non lo faccio per essere cattivo gratuitamente, anche perché pago. Ribadisco.. potete fare di più.. la ristorazione è una cosa seria per me..anche per me è pane quotidiano.. la sua risposta mi fa capire...
