There were a few red flags when my wife and I approached this place: owner standing outside and no customers (it was a bit early by Italian standards 19:30) but we were starving from a day trip up Mt Etna and it was next to our B&B. The waiter was aloof and disinterested. The cook was on his phone most of the time (hygiene concerns here) but the food was cooked well and delicious.
