Ristorante Cunzatu e Mangiato — Restaurant in Zafferana Etnea

Ate here earlier this evening. I cannot fault a single thing - excellent customer service, friendly, efficient, helpful waiting staff. I sat outside and there was a great atmosphere in the piazza, with lots of people (incl children) around. The menu was easy to understand even if you only know a few Italian words, as there were pictures and words like "focaccia" have entered the English language anyhow. The food was delicious, plentiful and filling. I had a burger with a fried egg and crispy bacon. It was huge. Delicious! Drinks - I had the aranciata bionda, very nice, and my boyfriend had the aranciata rossa (both soft drinks) and a pint of lager too. Few days ago I was with my besties for our usual monthly gathering. Given the fact that lately I ordered my very first burger at Cunzatu e mangiato, and it was actually one of the best burger that I've ever had in ages, without any doubt I chose to spend my evening in this teeny-tiny food heaven. All the ingredients they used were top-notch, especially the patties were juicy and succulent! We also ordered a gigantic portion of French fries & onion rings and they were also super delicious, soft from the inside and crispy & golden-brown on the outside. And last but not least: there were so many different types of beer that picking the right one took me ages. In a nutshell: If you're visiting Zafferana Etnea, make sure to stop by Cunzatu e Mangiatu, I bet you'll be delighted! Qualche giorno fa, con dei miei amici, abbiamo deciso di cenare presso questo piccolo ma delizioso (in tutti i sensi) pub sito nel cuore di Zafferana Etnea. Il personale, ci ha accolto con larghi sorrisi e tanta cortesia. La qualità degli ingredienti è eccellente, tra hamburger succulenti, fritti perfetti e buonissime pinze e pizze, c'è proprio da perdersi. Va anche menzionata una generosa varietà di birre artigianali con le quali poter accompagnare le pietanze. Premetto che io ho ordinato una pinsa mentre il mio accompagnatore un hamburger con patatine, proverò ad argomentare il perché di un giudizio negativo. La pinsa, con un impasto discreto che si difendeva bene, si presentava condito con ingredienti, a mio avviso, di bassa qualità o comunque di qualità mediocre, il formaggio non mi ricordava affatto la mozzarella ma molto di più una pasta filata e la salsa di pomodoro aveva un piccolo retrogusto acidulo. Passiamo alle patatine con hamburger inqualificabili, le classiche pre-surgelate e anche fredde. L’attesa imbarazzante, più di un’ora per due portate del genere. Le ragazze al servizio carinissime e cordiali, la cucina che si intravedeva non era una bella vista, non è carino assistere a tutto quel disordine 😕 La posizione è molto bella e con più di qualche accorgimento il locale potrebbe migliorare. Non mi sento di consigliarlo a chi preferisce ricercare nel cibo un’esperienza o a chi ha un palato “sopraffino”.
