Kuishinbo — Restaurant in Aizuwakamatsu

I ate at this restaurant over a month ago and I still think about it so I decided to take the time and leave a review, despite never leaving a review for a restaurant before! Yes, that's how good it is!

The owner was so nice and patient with my limited Japanese, helping me decide which katsu curry I wanted to order. The tea I was offered upon arrival was just as delicious as the main dish. They were like a warm hug on the rainy day I arrived at the end of a solo trip. The katsu was perfectly crispy on the outside and moist on the inside and the curry was bursting with flavor. I also loved the origami around the shop!

If you're debating on going to this restaurant, go! You will not be disappointed and you will be dreaming of the experience...

Amazing food. Obaa-san was very nice to us. We can't speak a lot Japanese, but she still tried to explain the sake drinks we ordered and gave us some great recommendations. She spoke a little English and it was pretty good. She even gave us some extra "service" (an extra snack and a cup of sake). Can't say enough how great she...

One of the cutest restaurants we've visited in Japan. Expertly crafted origami adorns the interior. English os welcome both from tje hostess and in the form of an English menu. Our grilled hoke and the curry were superb. And melon float... You simply can't go wrong!...
