Value wise, you definitely get your value. There is a big assortment of food and most is pretty good. Pizzas are very thin, which is not my preference, however, I still enjoyed this more than I expected. The cracker like crust was actually tasty to eat on its own. They have four pizzas out at a time, but there were enough people inside constantly eating that it kept rotating pretty frequently so there was often new flavors every time we went back. My favorite one was the seafood pizza, followed by the hamburger. I've had cheeseburger pizzas in the past but they never tasted as much like a burger like this one. They have a drink machine with interesting items like grape Sprite and Coke grape. They didn't have white water. They had Nilz instead. They're orange juice was minute maid, but they had the slushie which had that orange drink that I really like. So that's what I drank mostly when I was there. There were three to four kinds of pasta, taco rice, a soup, rice, and Curry. Salad bar was pretty extensive, though I'm not sure what I added that me and myself tastes really weird cuz I didn't like it, but it didn't make sense since it was just a variety of normal toppings to me. For dessert there was ice cream that you could add chocolate sauce, chocolate sprinkles and corn flakes too. For 1790 yen including taxes I felt like it was a great deal.
This place is also frequented by a lot of Japanese clientele which surprised me. Not very many Americans. The atmosphere felt like a hole in the wall restaurant. The wall paper made me think of carpeting... So atmosphere wise it wasn't the best. We didn't interact much with the staff and they didn't come to clear our plates at the table. The small interactions we had were very friendly.
They have a decent sized parking lot that is shared by other businesses, but I always thought this restaurant was located somewhere else. I only found it easily because I used the GPS. If not I would have turned somewhere that the restaurant wasn't because the sign is I think in front of a family Mart? So I thought it was over there but it's...
Read moreWe were in Okinawa for a week. We saw this place the first night and I spoke negatively about it. I come from Chicago. I know what pizza is. And I certainly know Japan does not make pizza I like.
Well, fast forward to our last night. Because we were driving all over the island, our meal times were getting screwy. It was after 7pm, and our options were limited. Seeing decent to ok reviews on Google we decided this would be our last dinner in Okinawa. I am glad we did.
So first, you are not going to get the best of anything here. This place is the furthest from fancy. If you are looking for that? Head south and you will run into American Village. But I think with the variety of items, and the taste, makes this a great value. First. Everything is included in the cost. Food, ice cream, soda or coffee. FEAST! If you want beer? That is 290 yen? And only 200 yen beween 7&9pm Friday nights. WHAT THE WHAT!?! If I had known...
The pizza is to be expected for pizza in Japan. I will say this though I really enjoyed the crust. It was crisp like a cracker, and it reminded me of a Chicago thin crust pizza. The variety of pizza is good to. Some wierd combos, some good ones. But something for everyone. (Loved the cheese and the meat lovers, did not care for the hamburger) The curry tasted homemade. Not from a box. The salad bar was a welcomed change. I love going on vacation, but I miss eating portions of vegatables. And while I did not try the spaghetti or taco rice, my wife and sons enjoyed them.
The ice cream bar was nice! I went into full child mode. Made a float with the orange slush and ice cream. Tasted like a dreamsicle. And did one with grape calpis. I knew them as a purple cow back in the day.
I would probably come back just for the soundtrack alone. I caught myself singing along. A lot of parking out front. I just don't know how crowded it gets. This place is not 5 star dining. But you will be comfortable here. I can understand why it's been there...
Read moreI was visiting from England and stopped by this pizza place in Chatan with my sister, her husband, and their son. Upon arrival, we clearly informed the staff that three of us are vegetarians, two of us pescetarian, and requested if a shrimp, vegetable, and cheese pizza could be made to accommodate our dietary needs.
While the place was quiet and offered a wide variety of salads and sides, the pizza selection was very limited and mostly meat-based. Understandably, it’s a buffet, but one would expect a fair balance between meat, vegetarian, and seafood options, especially when dietary restrictions are clearly communicated at the start.
Unfortunately, the customer service was also quite poor. Despite our polite request, only one shrimp pizza was brought out during our hour and a half stay, and we had to wait until the very last minute to get a second one. It felt like our needs were not taken seriously.
What made it worse was the uncomfortable atmosphere. Throughout our time there, it felt like the staff were watching us and possibly laughing behind our backs from the kitchen area, it made us feel quite unwelcome and disrespected.
Although the pizza tasted good, the lack of proper service, poor value for money, and the way we were made to feel overshadowed everything. I wouldn’t recommend this place to vegetarians, pescetarians, or anyone with specific...
