King Side — Restaurant in Chatan

Nice little place and location. The parking in back is a nice touch. We get shown to our table and there is some guy sleeping at the table next to us, my baby daughter made some noise and the guy moved to the window table and continued sleeping. Then we saw the guys shirt and realized that he was staff. Send the lazy guy home if he wants to sleep, don’t have him at a table where the customers are. The food was good, but pricey. ¥2400 for a BLT with onion rings and egg topping is a bit steep. But like I said, it was good and they used a lot of mustard as I prefer. But for ¥2400 I could make the most gangster BLT slathered with grey poupon and truffle oil, hahaha. The staff was pleasant, not including the sleeping guy, haha. Would be nice for a first date, but for a family I’d go somewhere else. ¥2400? I could have gotten a steak at many other places, just sayin. Great burger place in Sunabe! They have an ice cream window that I have started patronizing, it’s so summery and fun. I see children rolling up to the window and getting a truly beautiful looking ice cream cone on the weekends pretty often. The ice cream and lemonade is all delicious. The burger menu is really extensive and they have all kinds of toppings to choose from. My only issue with the burger was that mine was undercooked. The patty is pretty thin, and I love smash burgers so I was sad about a real missed opportunity to get a nice sear on the burger. Otherwise, the brioche bun was beautiful and the interior was super clean and cheery. It has some vintage American decorations, which add to my summer nostalgia. You order on a personal device through a QR code, and pay at the front....

This is my favorite hamburger joint on island. I’m so sad to hear it’s closing down shortly.

The workers are always super nice and understanding. The food is just down right delicious. The ice cream is out of this world. I could cry I’m so sad they are closing.

I hope they re-open at least at a new location one day. Until then, my tummy will always be craving a delicious hamburger that’s cooked just right.
