Starbucks Coffee - Chiba Sencity Tower — Restaurant in Chiba

There a few starbucks that nail the spacing like this one. The seating is great and very accessible. The location is huge compared to other Starbucks that I have been to in Japan.

Pros: Space, definitely, although this location does not have a huge beautiful window lining the side of the building out of which you can see an awesome view of Chiba city, it makes makes up for it with roomy isles and spacing between tables. The front of the store had some space for seating and decorations in case you want to pause and look at them before being greeted by the counter on the right side. This is great because in other locations the placement of merchandise can be hard to get to when the lines get long, or placed so that buying something intervenes with the overall progression of events that usually occur when going to a Starbucks. The condiments bar is directly in front of the pick up counter, which is great. Lighting in this location accommodates all sorts of people. The center of the store is very bright for those who need to study, and the front and back have a more soothing hue for those who want to relax and lounge. The Reserve experience is positioned after the check out counter, in the center of the store but not directly in the path of those entering the store and or hidden in a corner. This gives the coffee enthusiast a moderate level of privacy and room to enjoy the experience. The staff is surprisingly good with English, so foreigners will feel comfortable at this location. Accessibility is great! The store provides a nice break from the busy Chiba station, and shopping at the Sogo mall.

Cons: There is as always not enough places to charge your phone. This is something that Starbucks could improve in all of its locations, but for this one it is particularly interesting because the wall plugs are covered. For the desperate foreigner this is no problem, but for Japanese people this most certainly means they will not be using the wall plugs. Secondly the Reserve experience is placed behind the counter. If you don't know and are not looking for it, you will not encounter it until after the transaction has been completed!! いつも仕事中や勉強中の人で混雑して席が無いので，咳が有る自分はマスクを掛け専らマグボトルを持参し持ち帰り店として，リザーブ店限定珈琲豆と時々グッズの買い物用として利用しています😷ｶﾅﾘ ｱﾔｼｲ ｶﾞ…… 客層を悪くする汚い田舎じじい👴ですから，場違いで浮いた存在になり居心地が悪く向かない事もありますけど……😁 近くのエスカレーターでそごうデパ地下の休憩スペースに降りて，ボルトからゆっくり飲むことにしています🔩
