Myoken — Restaurant in Chichibu

This was a lovely shop, and one of the few that was open late. We had a relatively large group of foreigners, but felt very welcome. Although the menu is only in Japanese, they had a lot of food models outside, so one of our group went out to take pictures so we had an idea of what to order. Although one of our orders had a slight mix-up (sushi instead of sashimi), everything we ate was Fabulous! We also enjoyed some hot sake, chatted briefly with another patron, and enjoyed our meal without feeling rushed. When the bill came we asked about the mix up to make sure we were being charged for the correct meal, and the staff were so apologetic for the mistake, even though we weren't bothered at all as all the food had been fabulous and perfectly portioned! The staff also gave us some lovely chopstick souvenirs to make up for our trouble (which wasn't necessary as the food was more than enough to make up for any small errors). 妙見膳(1980)円注文 うまいに尽きる。値段は全体的に少し高めだが煮物、タコの酢物、もやしナムル、塩辛、おしんこ五つの小鉢色んな味が楽しめる。 天ぷらは衣が固めなタイプ 天つゆとの相性がいい 寿司はすごい！マグロは少しとろっとエビは食べ応えのある大きさに食感。プリッよりかは、歯応えのあるような感じ。 食べに来る価値はあります。

店内は小さな旅館みたい印象、奥に広く落ち着いている。店員さんは料亭みたいな感じで見てていい気分がいい。

うなぎ膳(3960円) 表面はパリッと中は噛まずに崩れるほどほろほろに。 うなぎはものすごい美味しいわけではないが、美味しいと言える。またほんの少しだけ身が薄い気がする。 塩辛うまい！！ 御膳ならいろんなの食べれて良きです。

チャンスがあればと秩父に来るたびに入るか悩んでおりましたが、今回は1人で龍勢祭りの前入りだったので暇もあり入店。 どちらかといえば2人〜で入る方が良いお店だと思います。

中に入り、人数を言って席に案内されました。 メニューを見つつお寿司も惹かれましたが、鰻食べようとうな重を注文。 混んでいたこともあり少し提供までに時間はかかりました。

鰻は柔らかく、臭みはなく脂も香ばしい匂いも大変良いものでした。 肝吸い付きでしたし、チェーン店と同じぐらいのお値段ですが、同じくらいのお金を出すなら断然こちらをお勧めします。 大変楽しいお昼ご飯となりました。

秩父山椒を初めて試しましたが、通常より個人的にはこちらの方が好みです。
