勝味庵 本店 — Restaurant in Chino

Had lunch here on March 29 and it was such a satisfying meal! We arrived around 1pm and still had to wait about 20 minutes, got a ticket from the ticketing machine right after the entrance. Totally worth the wait though.

We ordered a few mains and side dishes to share since I know the portions are usually big. The sardine sashimi was definitely a highlight, super fresh and had a really special taste.

We were seated in a private room and used the wall phone to make some requests. A really friendly lady (I think she’s the owner) came by to chat with us too. I spoke to her in Japanese and had a lovely conversation. She said she wasn’t sure if any Malaysians had visited before and was happy we enjoyed the food.

She even gave us some omiyage before we left, so sweet of her! Felt really warm and welcomed here. Would definitely come...

This is a very nice restaurant located by many factories. I ordered tonkatsu, which is a breaded deep fried pork, and the flavoring was great without being too greasy. The dish came with miso soup, rice and shredded cabbage. The restaurant also provide a bowl and with fresh sesame seeds along with a pestle to grind the seeds.
