Il Chianti Kawaguchiko — Restaurant in Fujikawaguchiko

はじめに

巨大なカニのオブジェと、その下には「イタリア式食堂」とある白い文字が印象的なお店である。

こちらの「イタリア式食堂イルキャンティ」は、ルーツは、1960年に六本木近くの飯倉片町に創業したイタリアンレストラン「キャンティ」になる。数々の文化人や有名人に愛されたたイタリアンの名店として知られ多くのマスメディアに取り上げられています。

西麻布にあるキャンティから1972年に暖簾分けされ、現在は「イタリア式食堂キャンティ」もしくは「イルキャンティ」として展開するチェーン店である。

ちなみにイルとは病気のことてはなく、イタリア語で「The」のような 必ず名詞の前に付ける言葉で冠詞のこと。

店内は、黒板に手書きされたメニューとテーブルにはランチメニュー、メニューを開くと字が細かく正直なところ良く分からない。写真を付けていただくと来店ビギナーでもわかりやすいかと思いました。

このオリジナルのイタリアンドレッシングはイルキャンティの名物で、絶妙にブレンドされた素材の加減が素晴らしく、これさえあれば無限にサラダを食べてしまいそうになる。

パスタは、アラビアータとペスカトーレを注文しました。

アラビアータは、トマトベースのピリ辛ソースに食べるラ 一油(ピカンテオイル) のザクザク食感 が結構辛さがパンチのきいた一品です。辛いのが苦手な方はやめた方が良いです。

ペスカトーレは、ガツンと来るニンニクと コシのある麺とニンニクテイスト、たくさんの海鮮具材がたまらない味でした。

また、店員に聞いたところランチメニューは無いとの事でしたがメニューの量は豊富でしたがデザートも含め色々と少しづつ食べたい筆者としては何か考えていただけると店の活性化に繋がるかと思いました。

Introduction

The restaurant has a giant crab statue and the white letters "Italian Restaurant" underneath.

The "Italian Restaurant Il Canty" is based on the Italian restaurant "Canty" which was founded in 1960 in Iikura Katamachi, near Roppongi. It is known as a famous Italian restaurant that has been loved by many cultural figures and celebrities, and has been featured in many mass media.

In 1972, it was separated from the Canty in Nishiazabu and is now a chain store operated as "Italian Restaurant Canty" or "Il Canty".

By the way, "Il" is not a disease, but it is a prefix in Italian that is always attached to a noun, such as "The" in English.

Inside the restaurant

The interior of the restaurant has a handwritten menu on a blackboard and a lunch menu on the tables. When you open the menu, the letters are small and I honestly can't read them well. I think it would be easier for beginners to understand if you could add photos.

This original Italian dressing is Il Canty's specialty, and the perfect blend of ingredients is amazing. With this, I feel like I can eat an endless salad.

Pasta I ordered Arrabbiata and Pescatore.

Arrabbiata is a spicy dish with tomato-based sauce and a crunchy texture of eating la oil (spicy oil). It is a dish with a good punch of spiciness. If you don't like spicy food, you should avoid it.

Pescetarian is a dish with a strong garlic flavor, chewy noodles, and a lot of seafood ingredients.

Conclusion I asked the staff and they said there is no lunch menu, but the menu is quite extensive. As someone who wants to eat a little bit of everything, including desserts, I think it would be helpful if you could come up with something to activate the store.

Amazing! After sightseeing, we randomly stopped by this restaurant. Staff welcomed us very properly. Everything is exceptional! Food / service / toilet / temperature / hygiene . First time Spaghetti Napolitan (?), as we watch the movie First Love. Loved it. Fresh tomato taste. We also recommend these followings

Napolitan Spaghetti 🫶 Mozzarella Pizza 8” The Tuna & bread ** this is the new taste. Thumbs up for wasabi. Chicken garlic. Crispy.

We stumbled upon il Chianti Kawaguchiko, a charming Italian restaurant that exceeded our expectations! Our waitress's recommendations were spot on - the deep-fried soft shell crab, clam spaghetti, beef steak, and pizza were all delicious. The meal was a wonderful treat after taking in the breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji. The ample parking space right in front of the restaurant was a bonus, unlike some of the more touristy areas where parking can be a challenge.
