Classic, nostalgic flavors of Japan. I stumbled on this place by a recommendation from someone at the local tourism office. It’s a small, cozy, grandma and grandpa run shop. The prices look like they’ve never changed since opening. What you get for your money is a lot! Even the beer I thought would be a smaller one and turned out to be a large bottle. I ordered the sweet and sour pork with ramen combo along with gyoza. The gyoza is made in house and with a thin wrapper and cooked perfectly. The flavor only something you get from years of making gyoza. The ramen is a more subtle flavor, not some over seasoned ramen. It reminded me of my grandfathers Tokyo ramen shop and made me nostalgic. The sweet and sour pork was very tasty and perfect with rice. Read moreSuch a great find for a couple of non-Japanese speaking tourists. We ordered the Gyoza and Katsudon and were so impressed with both. The dumpling wrapper was so delicate, chewy and perfectly crispy on the bottom, and the filling was perfect too. The Katsudon was very satisfying and so was the side soup that came with it.
