This may be my favorite Ichinomiya shrine so far out of the 56 I have visited. Free 30 min parking. ¥500 goshuin (2025) that came with a free bookmark. Just behind the goshuin office is a duck pond. There’s a place to fill your water bottles with Fuji water, or buy ¥200 bottles to fill as well. Just past that is a じゃぶじゃぶ池 water play pond, and also river where you can play as well. Read moreFujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine in Fujinomiya was really peaceful. I loved the bright orange color of the shrine and the whole area had a very calm vibe. The walk around the grounds was serene, with mostly locals and not too many tourists, which made it feel more authentic. There was even some kind of event going on when I visited, though I wasn’t sure what it was.
