I ordered butter chicken curry and rice. Butter chicken is a tomato based curry, which is rich and creamy. The average butter chicken has a thick consistency. The curry I ordered was unbelievably sweet, thin and definitely not tomato based. Lot of artificial colours used and definitely far from an average butter chicken, forget about the really good ones. I don't expect it to be upto the standards of actual curries made in india but this place lacks standards, the taste was probably the worst I've ever experienced. It was more watery that a thin broth or soup. I was forced to throw it away and cook my own food. You cannot serve people such food and call it Indian curry. That is an insult to history and time spent developing a recipe to complex and flavorful Indian food. I hope that you put more love and honest flavours into your food rather than what we just...
Read moreWe decided to try this place tonight. The menu is very similar to other curry restaurants we've been to, but that just means they use the same designer or printer.
The food is what is important. I got a dal curry set, which came with dal (bean) curry, naan, a salad, and a drink. It didn't come with one of those large rice chips that most curry shops give you, but that isn't reallyimportant to me.
The curry was delicious and spicy, the naan was very good, and the salad was larger than usual and really tasty. We both got chai, and it was very good as well, though, like most Indian curry restaurants, it came with a sugar packet on the side, instead of being sweetened already. That's not really a problem though.
The best part of this place is that it is smoke-free! Overall, this place is delicious and worth checking out, if you like...
Read moreMy friends hyped this place up like it was the best Indo Curry restaurant in Fukuoka but honestly going there was a big disappointment. The only redeeming thing in my opinion is the tomato base butter chicken curry— which was really good. Now the complaints: difference between regular lunch set and adding a cheese naan is egregious in my opinion. I've never found a restaurant with a ¥400 charge to upgrade to cheese naan until here. The naan itself is rather tough and one of my naans wasn't cooked all the way through. The staff constantly had a pissed off look and treated us all very roughly. I've never been to a restaurant where we were treated so poorly until now. It's a try once and move on place...
