We walked through the neighborhood to get to the house. The neighborhood was filled with large mansions. It's clearly an expensive area. The Shofuen entry is like that of a castle. The house is at the top of a small hill. Built in 1753, this was the home of a lord. It's in perfect condition, but some parts seem to have been rebuilt.
