Goh is a world-class dining destination—and truly deserving of its spot among Asia’s Top 50 Restaurants. From start to finish, it was a refined, intimate, and memorable experience that masterfully celebrated Japanese ingredients with inventive, almost poetic flair.
The tasting menu was a beautifully composed journey. Each dish told its own story—from the delicate Green Peas Rice with Prosciutto, to the vibrant Goldeneye Snapper with Cabbage and Tomato, and the decadent finale of Godiva Roasted Green Tea & Chamomile. The standout for me was the Abalone with Shitake Mushroom and Aosa Seaweed—deeply flavorful, tender, and layered with umami.
The Wagyu two ways—first with wild vegetables and lime-pepper, then as a comforting soy-sauce noodle dish—offered richness with balance and soul.
The ambiance was quietly elegant. The space itself felt warm and intimate, made even more magical when the curtain was drawn back to reveal a stunning nighttime skyline view of Hakata across the river. It was a moment that perfectly captured the spirit of the meal—unexpected, thoughtful, and beautiful.
Service was attentive, graceful, and unhurried, matching the rhythm of the food.

I chose the category of private when we made the reservation, so we were arranged to sit in a private room. We were a bit surprised when we get into the “private room”. It was like a back office with white light, white painted wall, a small fake red plant decoration on a bear laminated table, on the other side of the room with a glass door (am not sure if it is an emergency door…) outside the glass was a very strong big LED signbaord that kept flashing with strong blue, white light all the way when we were having our dinner. That was totally disturbing. I have to say the quality of food was fairly reasonable. Except…. When the last chocolate Gohdiva was served, there was a plastic inside. And the server was just brought it back and change me with another one and that’s all… we expected far better from a restaurant of your caliber. Finding foreign material in our food and the dismissive response from staff has left us feeling deeply unsettled and...
