Sugitama Nishijin — Restaurant in Fukuoka

This is our Go To Spot in Nishijin for Sushi and Sashimi Lunch Specials. Both are excellent and Very reasonable. Sashimi Set is only 980 yen but they only sell 10 a day and sells out fast. Sushi Lunch Special is Great too at 1,200 yen. Comes with lots to eat. Best we found in Nishijin. But we have a favorite in Meinohama that we go...

食べ物に毛が付着。

よくこの店で食事をするのですが、今日以降はもう来ません。

サーモンとイクラの丼を注文しました。食べ始めると、卵に髪の毛がついていました。ウェイターを呼んで指摘しました。彼女は何も言わずに私の丼を受け取って厨房に知らせました。シェフはどういうわけか、私に鋭い視線を投げかけました。食事は交換してもらいましたが、サーモンの切り身が明らかに小さくなり、イクラも少なくなりました。

以前はこのレストランを楽しんでいましたが、今回は嫌な思いをしました。謝罪の代わりに、食べ物に髪の毛がついていたという理由で量を減らしてもらいました。

I eat at this place frequently but after today I won’t be coming back.

I ordered the salmon and ikura bowl. As I started to eat, I found hair on the tamago. I called the wait staff and pointed it out. She took my bowl without a word and informed the kitchen. The chef, inexplicably, threw dagger looks at me. They did replace my meal but the salmon slices were noticeably smaller and the ikura was also fewer.

I used to enjoy this restaurant but this visit left a bad taste in my mouth. Instead of an apology, I got a smaller portion because I found hair on their food.

It takes just 5min from nishijin st. So, it's very convenient to get there. I think this is standard izakaya. Overall, I was satisfied with the service and food. Price is reasonable and it tastes good. When you wanna go there during weekdays, just visit there 11:30am. They served...
