We spotted the inviting MEXICAN sign while waiting at the train station platform. We are curious. Opting for dinner, we found ourselves at the Rico Mexican Restaurant, conveniently situated near Funabashi Station, merely a 2-minute walk away. Located on the second floor, across from the arcade game building, its the Huge Mexican signage invite us from outside.

Upon entering, we were immediately charmed by the restaurant's ambiance—the decor, music, and overall vibe were delightful.

The staff warmly greeted us, with one particularly friendly blonde-haired lady standing out for her exceptional hospitality.

Here's what we ordered and our thoughts:

Chimichanga: Absolutely delicious—oozing with cheesy goodness and packed with flavorful meat. A definite 5/5.

Ceviche: This month's variation featured Hotaru Ika (Baby Squid). While enjoyable, it lacked the acidity characteristic of traditional ceviche, resembling more of a hotaru ika taco. A rating of 2.5/5.

Homemade Pickles: These were a hit—I polished off everything except for the jar jalapeno.

Beef Tacos: Unfortunately, these didn't quite hit the mark. The beef was undercooked and lacked seasoning. Cooking the beef longer and adding more spices could enhance this dish. A rating of 2.5/5.

Dos Equis: As expected, a stellar choice—my personal favorite. Easily a 10/5!

One minor suggestion would be to offer a wider selection of hot sauces on the table. As enthusiasts of spicy Mexican cuisine, we felt a jalapeno Tabasco or Sriracha could complement the...

Delicious and fun! Enjoyed the interior decorations, 70s/80s music, and felt like I was back home in the USA (it's Mexican decor). The tacos were tasty! Quesadillas and refried beans were a treat. I wasn't expecting the exact flavors you would get in America, but I was certainly satisfied. Prices were reasonable, but expect a ¥300 table charge per person. I'd definitely come back....

The chicken itself is good BUT the staff charged me the wrong amount. First, they have on the menu a take out price next to the Rotisserie Chicken at 1800 yen. This is a lie. They charged me 2145 yen (photos attached), and I was wondering why it is so much higher than the take out price. I found out that not only did they charge be the regular price (1950 yen) for the whole chicken, they ALSO charged me 10% dine in tax instead of 8%. Please be careful when you buy and carefully compute the price before they charge you. I was in a hurry so I couldn't check before I left. They at first also said I could get take out for half chicken but later said they only can do it for a whole chicken.
