Sennari Shabu Shabu — Restaurant in Furano

I recently dined at Sennari Shabu Shabu in Furano, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm atmosphere that made me feel right at home.

The highlight, of course, was the food. The shabu shabu was absolutely delicious—fresh ingredients, rich broth, and generous portions. Everything was incredibly flavorful, and the quality exceeded my expectations, especially considering the price point. It’s rare to find such high-quality dining at such affordable rates! Additionally, a set was 1300 yens apiece, we didn't spend over 9000 yens there.

The service was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. I left feeling satisfied and happy, knowing I had found a gem in Furano.

Stumbled upon this gem on 19 July 2025 without a reservation, it was fully booked, but the kind and friendly owner (an English speaking elderly gentleman) asked me to return in 45 minutes. True to his word, a table is available when I came back. He greeted me warmly and brought me upstairs. Using Google Translate to apologize for the wait and say he hoped the food would not disappoint me.

We ordered the beef and mutton Shabu Shabu sets, which came with fresh vegetables, rice balls, and ramen. It is so good that we ordered an extra portion of beef.

Everything was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and served with genuine hospitality.

The prices were very reasonable for the quality and experience. Do note that they only accept Cash payment.

We were turn away the first night we went there at around 630pm. They kindly informed us that they could not take anymore people. Luckily, we stayed another night here so we asked if we could book a reservation for another night. It was possible! They will ask you for detail that which hotel are you staying and your room number. I think it’s probably because we are tourists. I suggest book as soon it opens at 5pm. The food was excellent- the beef, pork, and lamb were such great quality and relatively afford. Ooh and it is mandatory to order one set each and you can order extra after. Personally I think the set is a good deal. Beef set was 1,800 Yen, Pork and Lamb were about 1,100 Yen I think. There were four of us with big appetite - we pay 13,700 Yen in total :) - includes beers...
