oreg cafe — Restaurant in Gero

My only complaint was it closed too early.

Cake slice was great, so was the fruit tea I ordered, but the latter was a but expensive for the amount (big triangle bag of tea in a small cup).

Great ambiance and view, but it will close during winter, so come visit while it’s not too cold.

We went there with my wife and child for her bday because it was pouring rain. They didn't have much cake left but luckily we still have some to order. The staff at the cashier was so nice for a non-japanese like me note that we don't speak japanese too but she still serve us nicely. I don't know if she's the owner but she's kind and the vibe there was so good. I hope they will put a canipy and tables outside at the back too so people can chill and relax...

名古屋のレニエさんが下呂にカフェをオープンしたということで、オープン翌日にお邪魔しました。

国道257を交差点「森」で中津川方面からだと右折して登ってさらに脇道に入って行くのですが、初訪問だとなかなか分かりにくかったです。一方通行ばかりの道に迷い込んでしまい難儀しました。

駐車場はお店から少しだけ登った右手にありました(オープン直後の土曜日のため、駐車場に案内の店員さんがいてくれました)。

店内飲食の注文は入店時にカウンターで行い、先に会計を済ませ、オーダー番号を受け取ります。 出来上がったら番号を呼ばれるので、カウンターまで取りに行いきます。

天気が良かったので、外のテラス席に座りました。小高い所にあり、横に川が流れているので、いい風と川のせせらぎが聞こえてとても気持ちよかったです。

御前山マロンシャンティと果実畑のシフォンケーキ、ワンドリンク制という事で、テ・ド・レニエ、フルーツガーデンを注文しました。
