Don’t freak out just because it is at the train station. This was the most surprising and wonderful ramen hole in the wall, ever! They do a tomato based broth ramen, sprinkle of cheese, a couple of slices of ham/bacon, a pinch of spinach. It’s not your everyday type of ramen but it is INCREDIBLE. The broth was addictive and light. We also ordered the bandan noodles which is a black sesame broth ramen. Madness! But the rich nutty sesame is balanced out by the delicious noodles and the heap of freshly sliced leeks or spring onions (green onions if you are American). The food was absolutely delicious as well. We ordered miso ramen, special tomato and cheese ramen, dumplings, and pork belly over rice. Every single dish was amazing. The tomato and cheese ramen had a unique flavor—it felt like an Italian pizza, but in ramen form!
Beyond the food, the staff’s kindness really stood out. We were in a hurry to catch the bus to Kawaguchiko and accidentally left our souvenirs behind. The front desk lady went above and beyond to find us and return them just before the bus departed.
