A long wait! On a weekday evening, we group of four arrived at the restaurant around 5 pm, and the parking lot is almost full.

We were expecting a 45-minute wait as advised by the restaurant. However, we ended up waiting for an hour, noticing an empty table amidst a shortage of staff. We were puzzled by how two people were able to be seated quicker first without waiting long and were seated on a table of four and not given to us first? Later i read reviews by others that they were also waiting but received notification on their phone when the seat is ready (the local way of waiting).

The combination of affordable prices and limited dining alternatives in the area leaves us with no option but to wait. The food, whether due to hunger or genuine quality, proved to be delicious. The restaurant is popular...

Due to the fact that I enjoyed most of my meal in Shizuoka, I really looked forward to eating it. Actually, I was not able to eat at the place as I planned because they were to crowded that the steaks were sold out at the moment I visited. I was to intrigued that I actually skipped hotel meal to try eating Sawayaka. However, I regret the choice since I found noting so special. This restaurant is where you MUST visit if you’d come close to Mt.Fuji. Seriously this Genkotsu hamburg steak is what I’d chose for the last supper just before I die. I have eaten much more expensive meats in Tokyo and NY but this 1000JPY steak set is the best for me. You cannot find a Sawayaka restaurant in Tokyo and this branch is the most east one. There is always a long waiting list (it could be like 2 hours) and you cannot make reservation beforehand. So visit there earlier and make your name in the waiting list.
