Cozy family run sushi place with great service, but seafood quality left me disappointed.
I have been working from Starbucks across the street and saw this joint nearby and decided to try as it had good reviews on google. I was quite disappointed! Although the hospitality was great from both husband and wife owners, the quality of the fish was not exactly up to Hokkaido super fresh standard. I think all fish was at least a day old and portion size was extremely small. I thought it would be cheaper than touristy fish market stalls, but ut turned out more expensive. 4,000 for a bowl of sashimi don (keisendon) + clear soup + beer snack + half pint beer. Super disappointed. Would have made more sense to go to B1 level in the nearby department store and buy freshest sashimi to go....

Read moreCan't speak to the quality of the fish or food, as the sushi chef took one look at me and said no. The waitress/wife was polite and at least asked me for how many people, I answered but upon looking to him for confirmation he just said no, and so I was turned away. If you can eat here then kudos to you, otherwise good luck. The place was absolutely empty except for 1 other patron who was already eating, so I can't understand why I was turned away besides bias....
