Like other reviewers commented, this restaurant can't live up to the identity of a German beer hall. The menu is eclectic catering to Japanese and Western palettes but falls short in execution. My daughter's steak was overcooked and dry was the most egregious error.
The food was served hot and very efficiently. But the service staff seemed uncharacteristically lukewarm and disinterested. I noticed immediately upon being greeted coldly, then flatly explained how to order via the QR code. This same attitude was expressed during checkout as well. Perhaps the attitude towards servicing foreigners have reached the breakpoint.

Walk a few blocks around Hakodate and find a small local restaurant where you van see the cook actually cooking— you’ll get far better value...
Read moreDefinately has a more western or European vibe as it is a beer hall - staff are courteous and very polite. A lot of food options such as steak, sausages, sashimi, or even nabe! I ordered the premium Hokkaido steak - came on a hot plate over a bed of cabbage, with a side of rice and their in house brewed premium beer. Steak was delicious! Extremely flavourful, tender with the right amount of texture, cooked just right considering how thin the Japanese style steak was. The cabbage was sweet and like the steak it was seasoned just right. The beer - it was good, light but very pallettable. Not a bad place to go if looking for some beer, pub food or something less...
