As always, I'm not really sure people here have a clear idea of what French pastries are, but anyway, this fruit cake tasted pretty good. Considering that even in Italy, I'm not a huge fan of fruit tarts, this is a huge compliment. Nevertheless, I cannot give it five stars as I really don't like the transparent jelly they use here in Japan on fruit cakes. I'm pretty sure they'd taste waaaay better without it!

Nice little French patisserie just less than 10 min walk from main JR station. The cakes are just too pretty to be eaten but eat them you must! The strawberry short cake texture is simple wonderful, light and fluffy. The lemon pound cake has a solid feel with a subtle but distinct lemony taste. Have a cuppa of flavoured tea to complement the pastries. There is a small sitting area upstairs. 4.5 stars

Tried the soft serve, since I love Snaffles back home. Unfortunately, the soft serve was rather watery and icy, instead of being smooth and creamy. Made me miss Cremia more after eating it instead. Probably better to just head 100m over to the Petit Merveille cafe instead. The ice cream is smoother and there’s actually a good amount of comfortable seating there.
