We had to try it once, because it was described as surreal and decent food. What we found was great service (for take out), crazy atmosphere - this one is Santa themed and just bonkers, and TERRIBLE food. The Chinese chicken burger - the chicken strips are actually good. Why are they in a burger?! With a thin pile of lettuce. And almost no mayo (but enough to taste and offset things). I can't say, because it's a bad choice. Just serve the chicken strips! The lucky cheese burger has a ridiculously overcooked, mushy patty, a slice of cheese of unknown variety, and a ridiculous amount of mayo. Like, 4 burgers worth of mayo. It was not good. Fries were not terrible, but they use an oil that tastes of fish of some sort. It's not great. Maybe they fry their fish in the same oil? If you're thinking, "but all these people tried it, I have to try it as well!" Don't. We thought the same. We regret it.

Not sure why there seemed to be a surge of interest in this chain. Every outlet seems to have such long queues. So we walked to this one which seems out of the way. The older lady welcomed us in. However, once we opened our mouths and spoke in English, she said everything was sold out. And she meant EVERYTHING. I’m amazed. It was only 1.30pm and a fast food restaurant is sold out so early? If everything was sold out, why do they still keep the shop open? Other outlets in the more central locations obviously have lots of stock and doing brisk business. Too weird.

Burger sizes are quite large for the unassuming price. The Chinese chicken burger is straight up orange chicken in a bun! Pretty good actually. The lucky burger has meat chili and tomato as a garnish and actually tastes decent with the pork/beef patty. Not your American burger persay but still surprisingly decent. The Santa collection also is hilariously amazing.

Visited during winter and the shop decorated in Christmas theme. We ordered their signature dish Chinese Chicken Burger which cost 700 yen and it is very delicious. The burger was soft and the chicken meat is so tender with generous tasty sweet sauce. I strongly recommend you to order Chinese Chicken Burger when you visit Lucky Pierrot burger chain in Hakodate.

【市電・電停から徒歩５分】 函館名物、その名も「ラッピ(ラッキーピエロ)」である。 駅前の市電、十字街行きに乗って約10分ほど。 降りて徒歩５分にお店が。 「…並んでいないッ❗」 そうなのだ。 ラッキーピエロさんといえば、どこのお店も長蛇の列で行列必至の大人気店だが、 こちらは土曜日の1000開店、着いたのが1100過ぎでも行列、待ち客なし。 注文メニューはあらかじめ予習。 相変わらず情報量多めの店内とメニューの多さに狙いがぶれないように注意しながらオーダー。 注文もサクッと完了。 オーダー後呼ばれて取りに行くスタイルだが前客も居ないので約５分で「…はい、どーぞー❗」。 ウキウキしながらお盆を持っていそいそと二階へ。 二階には前客が一人だけ。 クリスマステーマのBGMを聴きながら 奥のテーブル席に腰かけて、待望の「ラッキーピエロ」さんとじっくりと向き合える。 お店のコンセプトの「クリスマス」「サンタクロース」がぎっしりと埋め尽くす店内。 サンタに見つめられながらバーガーから行きますか❗ ◆ラッキーエッグバーガー(￥539 店内) もう、バンズからはみ出てきたソースから旨い。 アッツアツの目玉焼きと濃い目のソースが絡んで旨い❗ 人気のNo.3だそうで食べごたえも充分。 コレコレ❗これが食べたくてわざわざ特急に三時間半も乗って函館に来たんですって❗ 今どき、ちょっとしたグルメバーガーなんて￥2.000は軽く越えますよ。 それがこのボリュームとこの旨さが￥500前後で 食べれるなんて、函館市民に激しく嫉妬してしまう。 ◆チャイニーズチキンオムライス(￥931 店内) そう、「ラッピ」さんといえばバーガーの他にもスター級の選手、そう「カレー」と「オムライス」も外せない。 しかも、それぞれにトッピングがついてカスタマイズされている。 今回はザンギがトッピングの「オムライス」で。 厚めの玉子でしっかり包まれたケチャップライス。 クラシックなオムライスのスタイル。 優にご飯は２合ほど有ろうかというボリューミーなケチャップライス。 そこに甘辛いザンギ、「チャイニーズチキン」が添えられる。 もうこれ以上の幸せは有りませんな❤️ 「ラッキーピエロ」さんは、「函館でしか食べられない」から、半年おきに、定期的に、無性に食べたくなる禁断症状が出るんだな。 今回もご馳走さまでした。 「ラッキーピエロ」さんよ、次は年末にでも来ます。
