Food was good. Unfortunately my lunch experience here was horrible. The man who served us clearly had very little experience with service. We finished ordering and our toddler was flipping through the Japanese menu. He demanded that he switch that menu to an English one but our toddler clearly voiced that she wanted to keep it. Instead of letting her play with it he grabbed the menu from her, told her no, and left. She immediately broke down crying and despite this, he did not try to console or rectify the situation. No apologies.
During the dinner, our toddler accidentally spilt our water and I told him what had happened. He went out for more than 5 minutes without returning so I went out to look for a towel myself - turns out the man is wiping down another table to get it ready for the next guest. Meanwhile my pants are dripping wet with water! All I needed was a towel. I told him why does it take so long to help me with our situation and he simply stared at me. No apologies again, left the room and slammed the door.
I would never recommend anyone coming here. Expensive prices for bad service? Why would I come here rather than cheaper locations...

There are 2 sizes of uni donburi. The “regular” one costs ¥7,260 which I suppose will include more rice as well. I personally feel the small bowl is good enough and you can also choose to add on the uni topping if you’d like
I chose to add 3 small dishes to make it a set and 2 of the dishes contain 1-2 pieces of uni topping but I think I’d rather just add the uni topping to my donburi instead
As for the uni, it is sooo sweet and creamy. I LOVE IT!! Prolly one of the best uni I’ve had 🥰
I also ordered the grilled abalone and tuna sashimi. Personally felt that the pricing is a bit high for these 2 items but hey, might as well order since you are here right? 😄
My mom got the uni porridge since she’s not a big fan of uni and I definitely prefer the uni sashimi over the cooked uni 😁

Personally, I am not a big fan of Uni, but perhaps it’s because the Uni we have in Hong Kong was never this fresh and succulent. I did not make any reservation when arriving before 6:00 pm. The staff just asked me to wait at the door and it was less than 10 minutes waiting time. However, the Japanese couple behind me, were asked to wait for 1 hour for their table. I had octopus sashimi which was tender and grilled large prawn as my starters. Grilled fish (daily special recommended by the manager and I got the last fish).
