Bakery Aya-pan — Restaurant in Hakone

The most delightful bakery with both sweet and savoury treats and a kind and generous owner. Everything we got was delicious! We didn’t even have photos because we ate everything so quickly.

We went to Bakery Aya-pan to get a small lunch and see more of Hakone before heading home. It was raining that day and we arrived soaked. When we went to pay, the owner went to the back and brought us an umbrella! It was a very kind gesture and we want to say thank you again.

Lovely little bakery in the most unexpected place. Fresh bread daily, filled rolls, curry filled crispy puff pastry was devine! And other bits and bobs. Recommend giving them a try if you are nearby. Though they don't open till 11am, couldn't grab breakfast before I left...
