The staff kept tripping over and kicking my chair (hard, too) multiple times because the place is so narrow and cramped and crowded. The prices are insane. More expensive than some of the most famous pizza restaurants in Tokyo. The taste is average, literally the same as some pizza I could have gotten for half this price in Tokyo at an actual GOOD restaurant. I’ve had better pizzas from the convenience store honestly. The staff asked me to leave because my toddler cried for literally like 15 seconds, after I only ate a couple slices of pizza, and drank none of my drink, so I couldn’t even finish my food and I had to pay full price.
They don’t offer to let you take out leftovers or anything. PLEASE just tell people with young kids they can’t enter if you’re going to be so cold to them, and act like you’re some Michelin star restaurant. It’s not like people can predict when a small child will suddenly act up, so it’s basically thievery to take people’s order and make them pay for food and then not even offer them any options so that they can quickly leave and take their food with them if they need to. Either don’t accept children as customers, or offer parents a way to quickly take out their food so they can courteously leave. It’s ridiculous in 2023 not to offer to box up food. They could have offered us the outdoor table as well, but didn’t even offer that as an option despite it being empty. Oh, and they didn’t even serve my child water, which is the first time in my entire life that has happened. Everywhere I’ve ever been EVER has served the free water/tea to my kid too, even when she was probably too young for it. It’s the middle of summer, and 31+ degrees after we’ve been outside all day, but apparently they can’t spare a glass of water for a child. Definitely not child friendly, and they just flat out should not accept kids as customers, they obviously just want money. I WISH they had just refused service to us so we could have gone somewhere better and not ruined our trip with this terrible service. On the plus side, this would be a decent place to go if you hated kids or wanted a child free date to yourselves or something like that.
This place is obviously some fake bougie place for naive tourists with lots of cash who don’t know any better. All the other customers were foreign tourists.
The staff just stand around talking to each other and it took forever to flag one down to order, and when I asked where the bathroom was (IN JAPANESE) the staff just nonchalantly waved me to some back doorway where there was NO SIGNAGE indicating where the bathroom was. I literally ended up walking up three flights of stairs while holding my toddler, searching for the toilet and I somehow entered some sort of hostel area instead. I went back downstairs and the toilet was at the back of some dirty hallway to the left (again literally no sign pointing out where it was, and the staff couldn’t take 2 seconds to at least say “hidari” to indicate where it might be) and it was such a dirty, disheveled broom closet basically. I was shocked a restaurant pretending to be like some fancy 5-star place had this tiny, dingy hotbox in some back hallway as the bathroom for customers.
I’ve lived in Tokyo for over 5 years and this was my worst restaurant...

Read moreWe stumbled upon this restaurant by sort of accident. Darn we made a right decision! Their pizza was incredibly delicious, clearly made with lots of love and passion. The staff was attentive, polite, and friendly ensuring we had a great time and could catch out train in time. The exterior of the restaurant is lovely which is one of the reasons we wanted to go in. Inside the interior was awesome, very inviting with an open kitchen. It is a small space but intimate and we loved that. My bf cannot usually have pizza due to his allergic reaction to cheese. But they have Vegan Pizza and he chose that with prosciutto as a topping. He was super impressed by how sumptuous the pizza was. I had pizza called Norma (I think that is what is called) with a prosciutto topping. I loved every bite of my pizza 🍕. When you are in Hakone, you have to try out their pizza and more.(meat dishes as well) We enjoyed eating at the counter seat so we could see the kitchen . We didn't notice there was a table outside.. we would have picked that right away though .
Highly recommended! In the town where there are quite a lot of noodle places, this restaurant will be such a...
