Great location and atmosphere. Ok prices, to be expected with location in a mountain. Tasty food! Ordered the season speciality steak with condiments. It was impeccably served, cooked and was so tasty. Fresh wasabi to grate, picked she's, green onion, and a couple other delicious pieces. But the steak was immaculate. Ordered the dumplings, you cook them yourself on little hot coal at your table, and add the sides over it. An ok portion perhaps but very tasty. The matcha pancake was amazing, served in a bake well pan with a side of syrup. Yumm.

Prices are higher than other places I've been in Japan, but you're looking over a mountain lake, fantastic!

We had the pork cutlet, the seasonal beef cutlet and the crème brûlée dessert. It was the best food we’ve had on our Japan trip so far!! We got there at about 11:30AM and the tables were full but we only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table and the lobby was warm and had seating so it was very comfortable. The staff were really lovely and helpful. The food was incredible, had great portions and the pricing was so reasonable - it only cost us ¥6900 for two full mains and a dessert (at the very least this is very reasonable compared to the prices we have back...

We were given a table without a view, which I didn't have a problem with. However, after a while, a table with a view became available. Since we hadn't placed our order yet, we asked to switch to the table with a view. The waitress, after some hesitation, told us that we couldn't change tables. When asked why, she couldn't answer. Shortly after, she seated another group of people at the table we wanted. As a result, we didn't get a chance to try the food because we left. I do not...
