Honjin — Restaurant in Hakone

This shop ruined my travelling mood at all. The service of this restaurant was the worst in Hakone district. We went there for lunch. The shop was vacant but she strongly forced us to sit on a small table and forced us to put luggage in our sit. Would it be better if you can provide us a luggage tray? Or at least I think you can have better attitude towards us? The lady was really unfriendly and ignored us when we were talking to her. There was only our table in her shop that time but still saw her totally annoying face when she took order for us. She even got angry and left after we were asking about the food and only deciding in like one minute time.

I felt like she really racist to foreigners. Even the fact that most of the customers are from overseas. Please never dine in this kind of restaurant in Japan. Never support this kind of attitude. In addition to the so-so taste food, the price was expensive. Totally not worth for...

A small Japanese restaurant that serves various Japanese dishes. It is located just outside of the Hakone Sightseeing cruise terminal, easily walkable within 5 minutes. There are English menus available at the restaurant. We ordered the curry pork katsu udon as well as the wakasagi set. The food was nicely seasoned and had a homely vibe to it. One of the owners noticed that I had a cast on my right hand so she offered me a fork instead of the usual chopsticks and that was a really kind gesture.
