In this restaurant, there were only elderly people inside the restaurant serving and cooking the meal. However, instead of this being a bad thing it is a great thing, they have perfected both service and cooking. Not only was the Soba good, the Udon and Curry was also scrumptious and flavorful. The Curry’s Roux was perfect. The Pork there was juicy and unique. The Soba was Unique and nice. The noodles were all hand-made and the broth was perfectly made. This restaurant was the first one to make me finish all my Udon. Not only is the food good, but the drinks were too. I did not order any drinks but the Tea they served was smooth and rich in flavor. They also gave free refills to people. The Tea was also free to drink. This shop is highly recommended to everyone who loves delicious Japanese food. This place was also near a nice lake and train station that i find unique becasue i’m from Singapore. All you have to do is ignore the negative reviews. Trust me, my whole family and cousins (8 People) all found it delicious eating there. I spent 10000¥ there for 8 and every ¥...

First off, I ordered the Katsu Curry to start. The curry was made from scratch and not instant. After finshing my meal, it was getting close to closing and I knew I would not get another chance to eat here again in a very, very long time. With 30 minutes left till closing, I ordered the Oyakodon.
If you have to order a rice dish, order the Oyakodon. The eggs, the chicken, and the sweet broth that's cooked in the bowl was amazingly delicious. This is food that warms the soul.
Order the Katsu Curry for the kids.
Now, they also have Soba. I did not have the soba, but my two travel companions did order the soba. The soba was handmade and both said it was amazingly delicious.
I would say the soba is the staple go to menu item here, but the Oyakodon is the hidden gem you should...
Read moreWent there 2pm on a weekday to grab a quick bite before Owakudani. Wasn’t crowded and was warmly welcomed by the aunties working there. Udon is chewy but not stiff, and the rice sets were piping hot; tasted like Japanese comfort food. The price is quite a bit more than what you can find in the city (especially chains) but considering it’s some mum and pop restaurant right up a slope from Gora station the convenience and quality is worth it. Thank you...
