I’ve visited this place twice, but I can’t say the service was good on either occasion. The food is decent, but… overall, I would say it’s one of the worst Indian & Nepalese restaurants around Hamamatsu Station.
What personally put me off the most was that, on both visits, the staff clearly discouraged the use of electronic payments. Despite displaying logos for credit cards and QR code payments at the entrance, they insisted on cash at the time of payment. On my first visit, I was told, “Credit cards can’t be used for lunch sets,” and was asked to withdraw cash from an ATM if I didn’t have any on me. On the second visit, I was simply told to “pay in cash” with no explanation.
If they are so reluctant to accept electronic payments, they shouldn’t advertise them in the first place. If they do offer such payment methods, they should take responsibility and honour them.
For the record, refusing electronic payment while claiming to support it is a violation of merchant agreements for card services. This practice should...
Read moreI stayed in Hamamatsu in Hotel crown palais ( just opp to Railway station) and was in search of an Indian restaurant. I Googled it and found Kumar Indian restaurant, Act tower just 4 min walking distance from my hotel.
Ordered Nan, Palak paneer, Dal Tadka and Navratan korma. It was pleasure relishing Indian food after 3/4 days of my arrival in Japan. I have given 5 star overall as test was very good, service was very nice and delivery - less than 10 min.
Mr Kumar- The owner had established this Indian restaurant in 1995 before 3 decades. l had my tummy full on the night and was ready for further touring days of a week in Japan.
If you are with Indian Tour organization like Flemingo or any, you don't have any food availability issues but if you are of your own or from other country Tour operator, Food may not be a part and then this Indian restaurant is at your rescue. Go there, have a lunch or dinner,,,, You will not be less than...
Read moreNever go to this hotel. They know how to cheat Indians. I had visited recently with my colleagues after reading online review (which seems paid reviews). Below are my review points.
Dish quantity is too low, Even one person can not be served. You have to order more, which is very very expensive. Taste is below average. Sometimes they provide Stale foods. Zero ambience
Recommendations to the Hotel (Mr. Kumar). Focus on the quality of food and ambience instead of showing photographs with Indian celebrities.
People are paying their hard earned money and time, so please re visit the quantity of food and taste you provide.
Sometimes you will get mismatch between your ordered food...
