4.5 stars-After visiting the White Egret Castle, we were enjoying a stroll around town and looking for somewhere to enjoy lunch. We came across an interesting, but seemingly deserted, shopping street with a welcome roof to avoid the heat. We found this small spot with a delicious sounding lunch menu featuring Wagyu beef. Upon entering we found a ten seat teppanyaki counter and were greeted enthusiastically. Shown to two empty seats at the counter, we felt right at home. Our service throughout the meal was outstanding, with staff working to ensure we were accommodated. The lunch menu consisted of seven fixed price menu “sets” with different combinations of meat and vegetables. Seafood, Wagyu steak and hamburger, and beef tongue were the protein options served with vegetables, salad, and rice.

My DW chose the steak set and I picked the combo of steak and hamburger. The meal started off well with a fresh salad topped with a bright dressing tasting of ginger. The eggplant soup with hints of miso was delicious. Our young chef behind the teppanyaki flat top began by putting our daikon, squash, baby corn (in the husk still!) and mushroom out to begin to cook. As this continued, we watched as he placed the steak portions and the hamburger patty on the heat while continuing to attend to other patrons meals. The hamburger patty cooked quite quickly and as it finished, the chef pulled out a small Le Crueset type of pot, filled it with an onion seasoned brown gravy. The patty went directly into that and was covered as it continued to cook and soak up that flavorful gravy. When all was ready it was delicately plated in an appealing presentation on a lovely stone dish. At the side of the plate was a small pile of pink salt and some crunchy bits that we never did determine exactly it’s origin. The vegetables were cooked fork tender but not mushy, the heavily marbled beef was fork tender and full of savory flavor. And the patty had so much flavor I would love to cook them this way at home all the time. We had zero issues with anything regarding our visit here and really hope more folks will discover this place. One of our best meals in Japan. Highly...

Amazing steak, wonderful kind chef and staff! We stopped here for lunch after visiting Himeji castle. It's inside of a shopping street with the English word "Link" on the sign. Had teppanyaki wagyu which was so delicious. My sons had the steak bowl and it was a bit on the raw side for them (I think supposed to be served that way) but they were so kind they cooked it a bit more on the teppanyaki grill for then. Extremely kind staff who went over and beyond to make conversation with us despite the language barrier (they had a translator) and make our lunch...

We went for lunch there in a hot day. They welcomed us with 2 large glasses of iced water that felt like glory. The lunch menu is a great value that includes a. Salad, a soup, the main course and a cold coffee. We also ordered garlic rice which was delicious. Our cook put a great flame throwing show for us with flaming brandy over the meat. The Waygu meat was delicious, prepared just to the right point. The service impeccable, extremely friendly and very attentive. Even the coffee was surprisingly good and refreshing in...

The food here was amazing! For us it was the best dinner we had during our stay in Japan. It was our first experience with Teppanyaki and I would definitely recommend doing it it here. The staff was nice, tried communicating with a translator app, since we didn't speak Japanese. But although we didnt speak Japanese we did really connect with them! Only thing to mention is that we had a little bit of a hard time finding it, since it is only written in japanese on google maps. We found it on TripAdvisor.

After visiting the castle on our walk back to the station we decided it was time for beef. This place showed up on the typical google search and damn happy we eat here. Okay the serves are in 100gm portions. We did the set waygu meal with the extra beef and maybe costly for some it was about 1/4 of the price for the same quality and portion of meat served in Australia as of September 2023. The 1st course of roasted eggplant soup was surprisingly sweet and the meat was absolutely divine
