Hinata — Restaurant in Himeji

Solid, but not amazing. The atmosphere is lovely. Nice soft music, gentle lighting, clean, cozy rooms. We came early on a Sunday afternoon, before the dinner rush, so the service was fast and our food came out quickly. Our drinks were a highlight. The plum wine is excellent, and I also enjoyed the Yaegaki Honjozo dry sake. We ordered a variety of small dishes, most of which met our expectations. The salmon chazuke was great. The mixed sashimi was also very nice. I have the small gripe that there were actually a few bones left in my sea bream, but I am assuming this was just an unfortunate fluke. I wish the sashimi soy sauce they served my fish with had been a bit less salty. It was a tad overpowering. On the other hand, I think the broth for the agedashi tofu was underwhelming in terms of flavor. it was tasty, but not quite strong enough. The texture of the tofu was good, though. The karaage had a nice fry texture, but I wasn’t in love with the flavor. It was a bit too oily and bit too simple, with just average quality chicken. Again, maybe a little too salty. That said, none of the food was bad by any means. It was all pretty good, and the presentation was pleasing, it’s just disappointing that nothing was amazing. I doubt I’ll be craving the food here again, but if you’re looking for solid food and a relaxing environment, Hinata is a nice choice. みゆき通りの客引きが オススメするので行ってみたが、最悪！ 3階の座敷に通されたが、上に上がる階段はコンクリートむき出しで、およそ飲食店らしくない。 どうやら3階は宴会場のよう。 最近よくあるタブレットで注文するタイプで、メニュー豊富と言っていたがそんなにない...。 しかも90分の時間制限付き(後から言うなよ) 出てきた食事も全部大したことなく、串揚げは待てど暮らせど出てこない。 店員を呼んで聞くと、「確認します」と言ってしばらく回答なし。かなり経ってから、「ただ今串揚げ全品、お時間をいただいております」との事。(平日やで今日！) 極めつけが、隣に座った客がタバコを吸い始める！(おい、今どき非喫煙と喫煙の区別もしてないやん！) 未だ来ない串揚げをキャンセルして速攻出ることに。 会計で店員を呼ぶと「下でお願いします」と言うので、2階に降りたがレジらしきものはどこにもない。1階か？と思い、下まで降りたらもうそこは店外。もう一度2階に戻り、ちょうどいた店員に会計どこですかと聞くと、「ここです」と言って棒立ち。(ここ、ただの通路ですけど！) ここってどこやねんと言うと、やっと空気を察して別の店員が動き出す始末。 会計場所が客に見えない系の店だったが、あのまま会計せずに帰ればよかったと思うほど、ダメな店だった。 そもそもタブレットやから、伝票も無いし、うちらの会計をどうやって特定してるのか謎。(間違えてたらどうすんねん...
